Colossians 3:23-24: 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
The Fam and I are on the way back home from a much needed tiny mountain vacation. We went to Gatlinburg for 3 days with the kiddos and some friends of ours. Kid vacations obviously aren’t AS relaxing as alone ones, but they’re packed full of fun, excitement, and memories. In a way, though, there was some refreshment from daily routine life, and that’s always a good thing.
I was able to have a bit of alone time in my head to blog brainstorm, which was super fun! Bouncing ideas off Jeremy makes me happy. He is the biggest supporter. So, I’m excited about things to come. I found this Bible verse, and it is a great reminder of the importance of doing God’s work heartily and full of love. It makes me remember to stop and think about why this blog exists, not for me or for man… But for God to get the glory.
I know it’s a Monday and all, and it’s almost over, but try and remember this verse when you super hate your job. Pretend you’re working for God and not your boss. Imagine you’re working to give the glory to Him. The reward may not be monetary while working for God, but the inheritance will be way greater! Good things come to those who do good work! Work hard. Play hard.
Peace, Love, and Jesus,
